Daniel Simpson is an actor born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and is currently living in the heart of New York City. He received formal actor training as a student of the New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts, where he received an associates degree in film and television.
In his first year as a professional, Daniel has taken exceptional strides in his career. Shortly after graduating, Daniel had the opportunity to have his face on a NewFest billboard in Time Square. He has been in two feature films, “Little Tuesday’s” directed by Shae D’lyn/produced by Kelvin Grullon and “Carrington’s Rules” directed by Cedric Hill/produced by Glenn Quinton and David J. Cork. Daniel danced and acted in a revised version of the Lion King at the Jacob K. Javits Center. He also wrote, directed, and starred in his one man show “Poker Face” using spoken word, dance, and dialogue to a standing ovation at Alchemical Lab Studio Theatre.
When Daniel is not performing, he enjoys giving back to the community and teaching drama through the CityKids Foundation. Most recently, he served as a mentor and performed alongside youths in the CityKids foundation for an event held by America’s Promise. This afforded him the opportunity to perform in front of Colin Powell and past President Bill Clinton.
Under the guidance of Shae D’lyn, Daniel hopes to become an international actor who performs at an exceptional level.
